Dreamworld has provided adrenalin-rushing fun for millions of visitors since its opening in 1981. The theme park is home to wildlife, exhilarating rides, an IMAX theatre, a flowboarding arena (surfing on artificial waves) and also Australia's Big Brother house.

If you're feeling brave, take on Dreamworld's "Big 6" rides, featuring The Giant Drop and its petrifying 120-metre plunge; the spine-chilling Tower of Terror and Mick Doohan's Motorcoaster, where passengers sit on individual motorbikes! Making up the rest of the thrill rides are Wipeout, Cyclone Rollercoaster and The Claw ("the most powerful pendulum on the planet").

For Dreamworld's smaller guests, Wiggles World and Nick Central, including favourite Nickelodeon cartoon characters (Rugrats and SpongeBob SquarePants et al) provide plenty of fun.

Dreamworld's multitude of wildlife enclosures include Tiger Island, with rare white and gold Bengal Tigers, and the Australian Wildlife Experience, home to more than native animal species such as saltwater crocodiles, bilbies, purebred dingoes, emus, kangaroos and - of course - koalas.

Big Brother fever has overtaken Australia's TV schedules since 2001 and Dreamworld is the site for the infamous house where the attention-seeking contestants are incarcerated until evicted by popular vote. When the programme is not on you can visit - and even party in - the house!

With a water park, stunt shows, river rapids, a wildlife theatre and an IMAX cinema, the whole family will find a world of fun and excitement within Dreamworld's gates - the real challenge is trying to fit everything in!
