Amsterdam Canal Festival
The Amsterdam Canal Festival, the Grachtenfestival, offers classical music concerts along two of the city's main canals. Nine days of indoor and outdoor performances culminate with the Prinsengracht concert, held on a floating stage in front of Hotel Pulitzer.
The festival programme includes 70 concerts at around 20 different locations, with soloists from the Opera Studio Nederland joining a range of national and international talent. As well as the Prinsengracht concert, further highlights are a series of free performances given in the gardens and roof terraces of canalside residents.
The Kindergrachtenfestival features concerts and shows especialy for babies, toddlers and teenagers.
