Speyfest, a pan-Celtic festival of traditional music, dance and crafts, is held in the Moray village of Fochabers in a specially created tent city. First held in 1996, it regularly attracts big names.

Held over four days, a grand marquee houses the main concert stage for the concerts and ceilidhs during the weekend. By day on the Saturday it is home to a craft fair. There is a slightly smaller marquee adjacent to the main tent, and also a Festival Club stage and bar, where visitors can rub shoulders with the guest performers whilst soaking in the vibrant atmosphere that Speyfest always brings to the region.

Various smaller tents can also be found around the area, including a merchandise tent, a kiddies bar complete with music and crafts to entertain the tots, the Speyfest information caravan and various workshop spaces.

As ever, the festival offers a packed programme. Get your dancing shoes ready, as there is a ceilidh every night and - on the Sunday - what's called a Survivor's Ceilidh!

Full details for the forthcoming festival can be found on the festival website.
