La Sgambeda
The Sgambeda is a 42-kilometre international cross-country skiing marathon and the opening race of the FIS Marathon Cup series. Offering prize money of €21,000, it attracts thousands to the Spöl valley in Livigno.
Several events take place on the days preceding the main competition on Sunday. These include the Sgambeda Classic, a half marathon open to FISI/FIS members, and the Minisgambeda, a race for children from eight to 17.
