The Hammam, or public bath, is an integral part of Syrian life and culture, the best example of which is to be found at Nour Eddin Al Shaheer in Damascus. Restored to its original splendour, at this hamman you can experience a traditional massage, sauna and bath, all rounded off with a cup of tea and snacks.
Please note: unfortunately, women are only allowed to enter the bathhouse on Fridays.
