Riyadh is home to Saudi Arabia's largest zoo. It boasts around 40 species, including bears, birds of prey, camels, elephants, hyenas, gazelles, leopards, lamas, lions, monkeys, rhinoceroses, tigers and reptiles.

Please note, although the zoo is well worth a visit, families cannot go together - it's either fathers and children or mothers and children (and boys over ten are considered male adults). Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday are reserved for women, Monday, Wednesday and Friday for men.
