Princes' Kitchen Garden
In the heart of charming Chantilly, right next to the town's captivating château, lies a well-kept secret - the idyllic, recently reinvigorated Potager des Princes (Princes' Kitchen Gardens), which open each year with a Festival of Daffodils.
Over 100,000 flowers announce the arrival of spring at this stunning and romantic garden. In 2002 restoration work by Yves and Annabel Bienaivé was completed and this previously dilapidated pheasant park reopened to the public. From the entrance's ceramics and an enchanting pool to ornamental gazebos remoulded into aviaries, an orchard, rose garden, animal reserve and the terraced kitchen garden, there is plenty to keep visitors amused.

| Directions: | 300 metres from the Museum of the Living Horse. Park there to avoid traffic. From there, head towards the town centre, passing the stables alongside the hippodrome, then turn right at the Hemicicle du duc d’Aumale and left at rue du Connétable, which runs under the Porte Saint Denis porch. After the collectors shop and before the florist, alongside number 48, turn right into the rue des Potagers. The entrance is at the end of this little street on the left – 17 rue de la Faisanderie. |
