Lanzarote's Cactus Garden was created by architect César Manrique with the aim of revamping Guatiza's old quarry. Over 1000 species of the spiky plant are beautifully presented on circular terraces. Statues made from compact volcanic ash nestle in the centre.

The Cactus Garden (Jardín de Cactus) was the local architect's last ever creation before he died in 1992.

The site also has a bar-cum-restaurant and a gift shop.
