The S'Albufera d'Es Grau nature reserve stretches for eight and a half kilometres northwards along the coast from Cap de Favaritx, encompassing dunes, wetlands and Menorcan scrub as well as Talayotic and Roman ruins.
This natural sanctuary is also a popular bird-watching spot, humming with around 100 bird species including migrating cormorants.
